A clearer way to get started.

Quick answers to common questions about working with Stellar Tax Associates.

How do I get started?

Book an initial conversation. We’ll discuss your situation, confirm the services you need, and explain the next steps and scope before work begins.

What documents should I prepare?

The list depends on your circumstances. Common items include prior-year tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, business records, and information about dependents or major changes. We’ll request the documents relevant to you.

How do I send tax documents securely?

Use our MyTAXPortal link to exchange tax documents and sensitive messages. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank details, or tax returns in an ordinary email.

Do you prepare both individual and business returns?

Yes. Our team prepares individual and eligible business returns. We’ll confirm your entity type, state filing needs, and scope during the initial consultation.

What does IRS e-file “accepted” mean?

It means the transmitted return passed the IRS electronic acceptance checks. It does not mean the IRS has audited or approved each item. Refund processing and any later review are separate.

How can I check my refund or amended return?

Use the official IRS tools linked from our Taxpayer Resources page. The IRS handles refund processing; our portal is for document exchange and client communications. View IRS resources ↗

Can we meet in person?

We serve clients nationwide through virtual consultations. In-person appointments may be available in Edison, NJ and Prosper, TX. Please arrange and confirm a meeting before traveling.
